Advance Imaging

Padmashree Advanced Imaging Services is equipped with state-of-the-art Multi-slice CT scanner and a High field strength MRI machine.

CT and MRI Scanning facilities are available on a routine basis between 07:00 AM to 09:00 PM on all week days. Round the clock services are available on all days of the week for emergencies.

Computed Tomography (CT scanner):

The Revolution ACT CT scanner available at our Centre is a fast Multi-row detector on which whole body scanning can be done. In addition to routine scanning of different parts of the body including the head, neck, abdomen/pelvis, joints etc., multiphasic contrast studies of the abdomen, high resolution CT study of the chest and temporal bone can be easily performed with the scanner. Contrast angiography studies of the cerebral vasculature, aorta, upper limbs and lower limbs are also routinely done.The newer techniques like ASIR allows high resolution imaging using low radiation dose.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI):

GE Optima360 is a 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner, is capable of high resolution imaging of the whole body. Various dedicated coils for different anatomies are available at our Centre which allows fast, high resolution scanning of the brain, neck, spine, abdomen/pelvis, joints etc.
In addition to the contrast angiography studies, the newer non-contrast imaging sequences (INHANCE) available on our scanner can be very useful in patients with compromised renal function in whom contrast studies may be contraindicated.
Cartilage mapping to evaluate articular cartilage degeneration in the joints also can be done.

Dedicated MR compatible Pulse oximeter allows monitoring of sick patients during the scan.
Following the CT and MR imaging, the latest GE ADW workstations available at our center enables fast excellent 3D reconstructions and other post-processing techniques, which would be very useful in diagnosing various abnormalities and for further treatment planning.
